What is JIC?

The JECRC Incubation Centre (JIC) is the innovation hub of JECRC Foundation, dedicated to fostering a culture of entrepreneurship, creativity, and innovation among students. JIC acts as a launchpad for ideas — providing mentorship, funding, and collaborative opportunities to help transform concepts into impactful startups.

Through various initiatives, incubation programs, and strong industry partnerships, JIC empowers young entrepreneurs to tackle real-world challenges, create jobs, and contribute to India’s growing startup ecosystem.

Our Vision & Mission

JIC was founded to foster an entrepreneurial mindset among students and regional innovators. Established in 2018 by JECRC Foundation, our vision is to handhold young entrepreneurs from campus and across Rajasthan, turning their ideas into successful startups. We have built a collaborative ecosystem – with government seed grants and startup programs – so that founders can test ideas and scale solutions addressing real-world challenges.

Founding & History

2018

Academic excellence and a strong innovation culture at JECRC led to the inception of JECRC Incubation Centre (JIC) in 2018. Supported by a ₹9.1 Cr seed grant from the Government of India (MeitY), JIC was established to nurture student-led startups and foster an entrepreneurial mindset.

2020

Within just two years, JIC expanded rapidly — incubating over 60 startups across diverse sectors. With a strong mentorship network and strategic collaborations, it became one of Rajasthan’s most active university incubators.

Present

JIC continues to grow, partnering with national programs like TIDE and GENESIS to provide funding, mentorship, and resources. We’re shaping the future of innovation right from the JECRC campus — empowering students to transform ideas into impactful ventures.

Mr. Tarun Saraswat

Incubation Head

Tarun Saraswat has mentored and supported over 100 startup founders through hands-on guidance, strategy, and program execution. His leadership has been central to JIC’s mission of empowering early-stage innovators.

Advisory Board & Mentors

Our advisory board consists of industry veterans, serial entrepreneurs, and JECRC faculty who volunteer as mentors and judges for our programs. Current mentors represent top startups and investment firms, helping founders refine their ideas and scale sustainably.

Funding

Through our government-backed incubator (TIDE 2.0 & GENESIS), startups can apply for grants and equity-free funding. JECRC Foundation provide upto ₹15 Cr seed fund to launch JIC programs. Many portfolio startups have since secured venture investments and competitive R&D grants.
